I love that building to the west. Could be a large number of apartments near the streetcar . . .

But will that save it????

I believe the building the "west" is not the drop inn center. But some business that has more or less abandon the property?

^Correct, it is not related to them, I just threw it in, because I was taking pictures there.

I guess that could have been confusing.

The idea, according to PATH and DIC workers I talked to, is to remodel that courtyard so that it can function as a partially hidden, off-street entrance.

From my 2005 stay at the Drop, I recall that the men's dorm is on that side of the building, so placing an entrance within the courtyard will probably necessitate some changes on the first floor.

It is hoped that this will make the comings and goings of homeless people less noticeable. Concurrent with this, the police have increased their ticketing for things like jaywalking and walking against the light. Naturally, most homeless people can't afford to pay such citations, which places them in jail. This becomes a net expense, rather than a net receivable, for local government.

But we will all certainly be on our best behavior when CSPA is ready for the students. God knows, we don't want to be displaced. All we have to do is be invisible.

My wife just informed me that it is blue not green. I have a bit of trouble with colors.
