Mike, I have read about the almost war between Michigan and Ohio also. This happened sometime in the early to mid 1800s.
I think Ohio also delayed the entry of Michigan into Union as a state. But we have been thanking you for the UP ever since. What Ohio thought was an unproductive desolate area turned out to contain vast copper and timber resources, which generated a lot of wealth.
