Just asking...

Why do you never hear and architectural critic talk about beauty?

I guess it's because beauty is an amalgamation of many factors involving form and function and is subjective to the beholder. Critics tend to concentrate on what it is, and what it is supposed to be, and whether or not it follows the "rules".

Critics do talk about beauty, among many relevant qualities.
