Good looking cars! Pinewood derby racing success is all in the application of the silicon and control of the suspension.
I found out too late that you need to sand and polish the axles.
I too was shocked to learn there is a whole cottage industry focused on pinewood derby car enhancements.
Ahh, such fun, i remember pinewood derby well. I seem to recall that the cars that always won were the cars that were low and flat... My champion car was anyhow, basically just a low flat block of wood :)
