Avril's Grocery

There may be a store planned for this building, just to the east of Avril's.

I would love that! It couldn't happen soon enough in my opinion.

The location is pretty good, and if it could carry some of the dry goods and paper products we all need, it would save on car trips to a large grocery, thats for sure.

That's just a few blocks from me. I'll keep an eye out for that.

Avril's has good stuff. I like their rare roast beef. But their "loaded" potato salad is over the top. Too rich & heavy. Get the regular kind.

I walked in there one time with a U of Michigan shirt. Bad idea.

I can't wait! Avril's is great, and everything I've tried from there has been great. Plus, the guys all greet me by name now. :)

Don't celebrate yet though, it is just in the preliminary stages and has a few hurdles.

D'oh!

Westender - The grandfather (I think) went to ND. They don't take too kindly to U of M!

Let's hope the hurdles are small.

what type of hurdles? i was thinking that the furniture store that just went out of business just west of that space would be a good place for a dry goods grocery.

I think a mix of practical and code issues because they are two separate buildings with two owners.
