It's a long story, but basically the Drop Inn Center had transitional housing there, and it took a while to figure out a solution to house the residents. They rehabbed a building on McMicken for them before they could demo these. The strange part is that they redesigned the school so that they could proceed without this corner, and now after they are demolished, nothing will be built on this corner. Supposedly there is a plan for an outdoor ampitheater here. Not sure of the details on that though.
You can be sure nothing was saved from these buildings to be re-used elsewhere in OTR. That should be mandatory with the demo permit, as well as extensive photographic documentation.
The goal of this blog is to generate friendships and share information regarding the promotion and retention of families in the urban center of Cincinnati.

i saw this on the way home too. I know it's just a couple more buildings, but with nothing else on the block it seems like a dramatic change.
Wow, I thought [and was surprised by it] that they were staying. Why weren't they demolished along with the other buildings?
