Rothenberg Meeting Thursday
There will be a Rothenberg School Community Engagement Meeting this Thursday, March 13th at 5 pm. It will be held at the Peaslee Neighborhood Center at 215 East 14th Street. This was the process I mentioned earlier in regards to Hays-Porter, where the neighborhood community is invited to come in and brainstorm with the school community about what could happen in the building after school hours.
It's an interesting process, but it depends on people being organized and able to connect to resources. Governor Gilligan, who has championed this idea, has said that not all schools will be equal as a result, but that all schools have an equal chance to reflect what the communities want.
