One time at camp we ate daddy-longlegged spiders as part of a "if you are out in the woods you can eat these things." Simply pull off the legs and eat. I mentioned it to some co-workers once as one ran across the ground. They didn't belive me so I picked it up and ate it. Some folks still talk about it.

and why not eat the legs too? The wriggling tickles too much?
^ Yeah, I think that was the point. Even when you take the legs off, the legs still move for awile.
