Continuum of Care for Homeless

The New City-wide plan to address homelessness is going to to Council today. Why is it that there is no news about this? What are the recommendations of the report? Building Cincinnati addressed the issue back in October, and in January, Streetvibes (PDF page 13-14) ran a long article against the plan by Tom Dutton. But since then, a group made up of interested parties have been meeting to re-write the plan. Today they will present it to Council:

Continuum of Care to Deliver Homeless to Homes Report to City

Last October, Cincinnati City Council approved an ordinance directing the Cincinnati/Hamilton County Continuum of Care for the Homeless, Inc. to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure that single homeless men and women have access to comprehensive services so that they can successfully move from homelessness to appropriate housing. The report will be delivered to the City toDAY. Speakers will discuss the plan’s recommendations and next steps.
