The Pendleton Neighborhood Council invites you to a special tour of the current School for Creative and Performing Arts, followed by a discussion with representatives of the City of Cincinnati Department of Community Development.
Please spend an evening in Pendleton - taking in one of our amazing historic strutures - the Woodward High School which currently houses the world-renowned School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA). The evening will begin with a brief introduction to Pendleton by David White, a quick history of the area by Pendleton resident Chuck Downton, and a tour of the building by SCPA Artistic Director Dr. Isidor Rudnick.
The tour will be followed by a discussion with representatives from the Department of Community Development focusing on solutions we can work toward as a community to address blight, vacant structures, landlord issues, and the like. Ed Cunningham, Supervisor of Existing Building Inspections, and Jennifer Walke, Community Development and Planning Analyst will be on hand to discuss these matters and available funding programs from their office.
