All I Saw, Town or Sprawl

Wasilla: Looks more like suburban sprawl than small town or rural Alaska. Pics here.

Charles Wohlforth, in a Frommer's travel guidebook on Alaska, described Wasilla as "the worst kind of suburban sprawl of highway-fronting shopping malls and gravel lots".

I dunno. Not as quaint as you might expect. But it looks like any small town anywhere in America. You know, the kind that raved about getting a Target.
