As I was submitting my petition signature the other day, I was hoping you or one of the other local blogs would pick up on it and spread it around.

If we're going drop billions on an infrastructure/jobs bill, it should be focused on maintenance of the existing system and expansion of transit (plenty of worthy projects already in the project development pipeline). Not on expanding interstate and suburban arterials so that more people can move to the boonie-burbs and keep the viscious cycle going. (This from a guy who has spent most of his career 'improving' highways...)
