Tilt Shift Vine
This was just a regular photo I took today, but it turned out looking like a tilt-shift photo or a painting.

Nice photo. Almost doesn't look real. The buildings look great all fixed-up and cleaned-up. And the best part is that they are being saved. Looking at the paint job (which looks good and works) of these buildings - it made me wonder, why did they paint them? All of them are brick. Usually the front of a building has the better brick and it would vary nicely from building to building. Just wondered.
Many of these buildings were painted originally. If not painted originally, they were often painted later. Once it is painted, it is generally better to just keep it painted. A good paint job should last many years and will protect the building better anyway.
IMO, the fact that they look like toys in the photo means it is too clean, too manicured etc..
Not to nitpick, but tilt-shift refers to using tilt for selective focusing and to create a very narrow depth of field. These movements and shifts have been long available on large format cameras, but come to SLR's in the form of specialized lenses.
All I see is a tilt in the perspective, but no movement.
