Ever notice that only rich people can afford these great New Urbanist neighborhoods?

Is it the cost of building them, the supply/demand curve, or are they the only ones with the values that are aligned to them?

Could be for any of those reasons.

What troubles me is that the drive to move back to the city seems to be displacing the poorer people who once lived there--the ones who benefited most from walking neighborhoods and access to public transit.
