Those balconies look so awkward to me, just sticking out of the side of the building with those really chunky banisters that add so much visual weight. It's also too bad that the cool ghost sign was almost completely removed -- couldn't it have been kept as it was?
I think that building looks amazing. The balconies don't bother me at all. In fact, I would LOVE to have one of those units with a balcony. And I'm pretty sure the lean to's on top of the building are access points for the roof top balconies.

They look awkward, but also awesome. That would be a huge selling point for me to have a large balcony like that.
Well, I think having a balcony is absolutely awesome and a great selling point. I just don't think these look awesome.
And what's up with the lovely twin lean-to's up on the roof?

It would be even better if they were the tops of light shafts to bring natural light to lower floors of the building... but I don't think so.
Anyway, from the outside at least, this building is wonderful.
Light wells would be Uber cool wouldn't they (LOL)? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously, they would be cool.
