The concourse fountain is a wonderful design and is a great civic space, enjoyed by thousands since it was opened in 1976. I am saddened that it is today just a simple sprayground. However, the optimistic architecture remains.
I returned to this post after reading a great article about Louis Sauer. You can read it hereCityKinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09068481950069401281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6782792124434572025.post-49240465759349761552017-01-23T14:39:18.447-05:002017-01-23T14:39:18.447-05:00Update: Found in the 1904 and 1905 Cincinnati City...Update: Found in the 1904 and 1905 Cincinnati City Directories that Rev Chas C Peale pastor Asbury M E Church lived at 257 Gilman Avenue, Mt Auburn. Mrs Peters lived in the last house on the left and across from her was an apartment building, this is where Renner ended, we lived about 4-5 houses from Mrs Peters, long after we left 226 burned down, we had a lot of good German neighbors and good people living on Renner, loved that area.
Ron
CityKinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09068481950069401281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6782792124434572025.post-53694160846709380982015-02-16T17:53:52.403-05:002015-02-16T17:53:52.403-05:00The Park was founded 1903The Park was founded 1903Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6782792124434572025.post-25531356218148865602014-12-23T02:32:03.784-05:002014-12-23T02:32:03.784-05:00This store was part of three store business of art...This store was part of three store business of artisanal milliners. I was a member from when I was five until I turned seven, and my family moved from the neighborhood. I have many fond memories of the church, and all of the activities that went on in there.Mr. T's Musingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00547337558265590213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6782792124434572025.post-24886537615968870752014-07-28T18:59:14.572-04:002014-07-28T18:59:14.572-04:00can anyone having knowledge of where this debris f...can anyone having knowledge of where this debris from the Dhonau funeral home went please contact me here: spd@fuse.net, looking for any part of bldg. such as the window over the front entry, the stone above front entry, I think read 1909? thanks, Scott Dhonau. had no idea it was torn down a couple years agoScott Dhonaunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6782792124434572025.post-82586399929794082832014-07-15T20:19:43.934-04:002014-07-15T20:19:43.934-04:00I live in the house right next to the old school n...I live in the house right next to the old school now.
