Innapropriate Kids Books
Curious pages is an great blog highlighting strange, interesting and sometimes innapropriate kids' books. Some great illustrations. I found about a dozen books I want just browsing for a few minutes:

Of course they love it. It isn't pc.
ReplyDeleteI was a big fan of Hans Christian Anderson when I was little, and his stories were sometimes really brutal. Some became Disney-fied, which took away the scary elements. Is it bad for kids to read scary stories? A lot of them function as cautionary tales veiled in fantasy.
