We brought the tetherball setup out into the park Sunday, and it attracted a constant stream of players, even a few adults. Not sure what the Park Board would think about it, but I plan on continuing to set it up most days with good weather.
I rode on a mary-go-round recently in a Portland park. It was a blast. You can really get whipped around and dizzy on a good one and their park service kept that one greased. I also remember getting blasted in the face with a tetherball. But I still have fond memories. Dodgeball too, even though that was banned when I was still a kid. Monkeybars - how could you improve on monkeybars? Or really big swings that give major jump hang time and put your stomach into your throat!
I heard 3 or 4 adults say, "wow, I haven't seen one of those in years". Today we brought it out again, and a huge crowd of kids gathered for a few hours.
