After a too-long smarmy speech at the rededication, Todd Portune would not promise not to sell the Hall. It was a sad end to a poorly attended program.
Thanks to you and your family for attending - attendance was not what they wanted, but I hope a statement was made, that future activities will result and that there will be a bicentennial celebration! Cool pix - ESPECIALLY the trombones!

ReplyDeleteYeah, I was a little disappointed in the attendance during the day as well. I left before Portune's speech.

I didn't even know about this. No wonder it was poorly attended. The interiors look fabulous though. As does the band.
