Why are they rebuilding a high school that sits less than two miles from Hughes? Does no one remember that it was built to keep black students out of Hughes High? The district is awash in vacant high school rooms. They should clear and clean the site and put the money into Hughes.

The new design isn't great, but it isn't bad either. I also view it as an improvement over what is now coming down.
